Indian cuisine is a very unique cuisine. With unique flavours and ingredients, the cuisine is well known around the world. From 'Lamb Rogan Josh' to ' 5 spice', this cuisine is different and enjoyable. With 35% of Indians strict vegetarians and another 30% meat lovers the cuisine is very diverse. The reasoning behind the cuisine being so diverse, is the physical layout of the country. Each region is renowned for it's particular flavours. It is easy to assume Indian cuisine only consists of curries, this is because they are so popular! However there are many other dishes in the Indian cuisine. Indian food is rich, full of flavour, texture and taste! The seasonings and spices are thousands of years old therefore Indian cuisine has had many years to develop and improve. There are a few distinct taste associated with the Indian cuisine. Sweet, salty, sour, spicy, bitter and pungent.
Sweet : Chocolate Hazelnut Gujiya
Salty : Kettle Popcorn
Sour : Sweet and sour Chicken Curry
Spicy : Spicy Chicken Curry
Bitter : Karela Stir Fry
Pungent : Pork Vindaloo
